About Emma Halstead

I am Emma Halstead and I am from Northern Virginia near Washington, DC. I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Fine Art with a concentration in Drawing. I create illustrations because it is fun, enriching, and I have a gift for designing the reader’s initial “visual bookmark”--the imprinted image they associate with the book. When you recall a book, the first thing you remember will be my images and the second thing will be the words. I am artistically adaptable to the style my authors desire and my illustrations are most recently published in Owning Your IT, a business self-help book and upcoming in the children’s book, Alyssa Meets the Fire Chief.
